Context
For traditional weddings in Nigeria, couples typically choose the fabric and may even suggest styles for intended guests. An "asoebi (Family Clothing) coordinator" handles logistics like fabric curation and distribution. This person/s is typically the couple or a friend/family of the couple.
The Prroblem
This process of handling and ensuring everyone pays for and gets their “Asoebi” on time can be uncoordinated, hectic, and imperfect.
The lack of clarity and organization frequently causes unnecessary stress and anxiety for the couple/asoebi coordinator. This can negatively impact the expectations and excitement of the occasion.

Fabric Curation
I combined interactive product imagery with a clear CTA to effectively increase the chances of visitors converting into paying customers.

The grid format efficiently utilizes the available screen space, showcasing a maximum number of products at once.
With minimal text on the products themselves, the focus is on the visuals, allowing the images to grab the user's attention and entice them to engage with the product.
Know where you’re at
I included a progress indicator right from the very moment organisers begin curating fabrics for their events. This helps to show customers where they are in the process. This transparency relieves anxiety about how much longer it will take to complete the purchase (because it indeed is one hell of a process).
Filters
Included custom filters to help users narrow down product selections based on specific criteria like color, size, price range, or brand. This will save them time and frustration by focusing on products that meet their needs.


Capturing necessary details 🔍
Allowing users to add images, descriptions, details, and theming for their wedding creates a more vibrant and informative experience for everyone involved. It benefits both event organizers and guests in a few key ways:
For event organisers
Theming options allow event organizers to personalize their events, making them more memorable and visually appealing. This can lead to increased excitement and interest among attendees. Furthermore, Clear descriptions with all the essential details (date, time, location, schedule, etc.) reduce the need for follow-up questions. This saves time for both event organizers and attendees.
For guests
Images and descriptions create a richer experience for potential attendees. It allows them to visualize the event, find relevant details easily, and get excited about attending.
Previews and sharing 🔍
A live preview to allow event organizers to see how their choices for items, descriptions, and theming translate to the attendee-facing view. This empowers them to make informed decisions and ensure a visually appealing and informative event page.

Our iterative testing process, with several rounds of internal testing, ensured a user-friendly design with minimal usability issues.
I spent time refining the experience for less common scenarios (edge cases). By prioritizing these optimizations, we delivered a product that caters to the needs of the majority, while addressing the specific needs of a smaller user group.
